As I’ve said in the past, in one form or another, we all have the same need and desire to be loved. It doesn’t necessarily mean we all want to be IN love… romantic love is not the only variety.
Here at Unapologetic Second Life Fashion Blog, we’re serving up multiple flavors of the love today. First and foremost is a love for ourselves! This one seems to be the hardest to come by, and even if you are one of the lucky few who can navigate through the sea of self doubt, you’re reluctant to admit it for fear of being considered vain. I’m thinking we need to get off that kick right now and say “to hell with what they think” and truly learn to love ourselves for the flawed, and perfectly imperfect people that we are.
Ready for a little more love? How about friendship? To me, friendship is the strongest type of love. It’s not wishy washy and fickle like romantic love can be and true friendships last through all the ups, downs, sideways and corkscrews that life throws at us. Sometimes you serendipitously meet random people, form an instant bond and just know that they will be in your life for a long, long time. I have made some incredibly good friends in SL over the past 4 years, and wouldn’t trade any of them for anything in the world.
