A Taste of Oz

I just wanted to drop you all a quick post to let you know about the ADORABLE mesh avatar that Cocoro Lemon has put out at Doll Coco.
Dorothy and Scarecrow

The fully mesh Dorothy avatar is not only precious, it’s FREE! Yup a gorgeous free mesh avatar and it also comes with decorative meshes of the whole Oz Gang! Since these are highly detailed they have a fairly high land impact so I only had enough prims to rez one. But trust me, they’re in there and GORGEOUS.

I have no idea how long the gift has been out or how long it will remain, so hurry up and grab ’em while you can.

Happy shopping!

My Name is PinkiPoo!

HI! My name is PinkiPoo!

I’m a wee little mischief maker, I am! A mischief maker indeed!

I can be found lurking under your bed, waiting for just the right moment to nibble on your toes. Pinki toes are the best, of course!

If you’re smart, you’ll LEAVE ME SOME CUPPY CAKES!*looks at Maci and Tiggy* That just MIGHT keep me from the toe nibbling.

Why am I here taking over Shiloh’s blog, you ask? *Glances over at Shiloh as she sits bound to a chair with a ginormous lollipop stuck in her mouth* I’m here to help out my friend Eku! She made me and I want to thank her by helping her fix that head of hers!

You can find me and my three brothers  in Eku’s tent at Unhinged. Take us home and let us… well… JUST TAKE US HOME OK? *grins and giggles manically* I promise we’ll behave.

Here’s your carriage to Unhinged!

I am having WAY too much fun with all of the incredible poses and fashions from Hottie Cooterati’s Cinema 2012. I can honestly say that this event is incredibly inspiring! If you haven’t visited the event yet, make it a priority. You’ll be glad you did!

Now, here is my first attempt at a movie poster. I figured I’d jump on the bandwagon and give it a try! Now who wouldn’t want to have their soul reaped by this latex lovely, hmmm?

Here is another pic, these amazing poses are all from Adorkable and are exclusive for Cinema 2012.

All This Talk About Pandas!

So much talk about Pandas! From the new WoW Mists of Pandaria, to the cute Panda Hamsters from the Arcade Event, and then the sad death of the cute baby Panda born just last week, I thought this was the appropriate time to post this little ensemble as a tribute to Pandas everywhere!

I love Severed Garden‘s outfits. Each and every one of them and this one is no exception. The Pam ensemble comes complete with ears, outfit, face tattoo and hoofs! You can also tell that I am loving my new Soft ‘do’ from [e]. Two blogs posts in a row with it, and I’m still not sick of it yet!

Have a happy Hump Day!

Gacha! This Ain’t Disney Land…

I meant to post this yesterday, but, to be honest, I was just too darn tired! However, I hope you will find this cute little outfit was worth the wait!

I have caught the Gatcha! fever. Maybe not to the extent of some of my friends and peers, but I’ll admit, I’m amused! I decided to mix up a few pieces from the Arcade Gatcha event that is happening RIGHT NOW with a few Gatcha prizes from one of my favorite shops.

While trying to find a place to take my photo, I stumbled across a brand new fully interactive roleplay sim that opens on Monday! It’s called the Midtown West District and I think it’s going to bring roleplay to a whole new level in SL. So if you are into urban/city roleplay you should definitely check it out!

The Maxi Gossamer Candy Love Hearts necklace has to be one of my favorite pieces from The Arcade. I love that Maxi puts so much thought and effort into each little detail on her jewelry, and this is no exception. The Gatcha Machine has 10 different colors, with the black one being the most rare.

I’m also wearing the super cute mouse ears from AUX. Their machine has 12 variations of normal ears, and 4 variations of the “special” “rare” sparkly ears which I MUST HAVE! *coughs* Ahem… sorry for my loss of composure there.

Last but certainly not least, I’m wearing a few super cute items from the Gatcha Machine at Sway’s shop. The kitty cat tank top and the wooden bangles are two prizes I will treasure! I cannot say enough good things about this place. Everything is so well done, and simply adorable. I should also mention that while Sway Dench is an amazing creator, she is also a SUPERB blogger! You can check out her blog here!

Here is Sway’s contribution to The Arcade event. I am seriously going to go broke trying to get each and every piggy bank!!

The Arcade starts today and goes through October 15th!

Where Does Your Inspiration Come From?

Katya Valeska, an amazing blogger and person, blogged earlier about the pressure she puts on herself to blog, and how it can affect her inspiration. Let me tell you, she is not alone.

Writers, artists and creatives in general, wax poetic about one word – inspiration. It can be the wind beneath our wings, and the bane of our existence, depending upon how readily available, or how elusive it is.

As a former paid writer in RL, I can tell you the well of inspiration often runs dry and yet, you have to dig down deep, past the hardened crust, and into the muck to pull out something, ANYTHING to meet your deadline while keeping your reputation as a competent writer intact. You might think now that I am blogging for enjoyment, that the pressure would be alleviated and I’d have inspiration out the wazoo. It just isn’t so, inspiration’s a fickle little thing.

My newest ploy to defeat the reluctant muse, is to keep a dream journal. It’s just a simple notebook at my bedside. Each morning when I wake, eyes bleary and my gorgeous bed head sticking out in all directions, and I will write what ever details I can remember about the night’s dreams and nightmares. Whatever I can remember… it doesn’t have to be a novel. If I remember a color (I don’t care what science says, I dream in color… they’re ridiculous) or perhaps it’s the way I feel… what I call the residue of a dream… I’ll write that down too. Perhaps I’ll find some good imagery to produce a new photo, or the perfect sentence to start that short story I keep meaning to write. I haven’t yet, but I’ll keep on trying.

Our subconscious mind is far more creative than our waking selves. It’s bold, brave and uninhibited. Unlock it and discover what inspiration is hiding right there under your nose, or behind your eyelids.

It’s Better to Burn Out than to Fade Away…

Today’s blog isn’t so much about fashion as it is about telling a story. Telling a story with a single photo, to be exact. My dear friend Whiskey Monday, in cahoots with Botgirl Questi, started a really cool weekly photo event last month called Single Frame Stories.

Have you heard of it? If you haven’t, and you love telling a story with your photographs, you definitely need to check it out. Single Frame Stories is all about visual expression and I think it’s pretty much the coolest photography event to come around in a long time. Notice I’m calling it an “event” and not a “challenge.” Challenge sounds too confrontational for what this is, it’s merely expression at it’s purest.

Unfortunately I’ve been a slacker and have only submitted one photo, but I definitely plan on doing more! I know you guys aren’t used to seeing me this “dark,” but I feel like the dark side is where my true creativity comes out. What story do you think I’m trying to tell here?

burn out

And if this isn’t really your thing, stop by anyways and check out what other’s are doing, you may find something that gives you a good chuckle, or strikes an emotional chord!
